We began in 1981 as Hendricks County Community Theatre, and incorporated and rebranded as Hendricks Civic Theatre (HCT) in 1989.

Since then, HCT has put on plays and musicals every year, performing across Hendricks County as its only 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community theatre.

In 2024, HCT partnered with Hendricks Live! in the heart of Plainfield to grow into a much larger venue and reach even more theatre lovers.
